WE ARE NOT ALONE

                                                     WE ARE NOT ALONE
Somewhere in our hearts we all long for spiritual enlightenment. We want to feel whole, peaceful, joyful, complete, loved and not alone.

Some of us use artificial vehicles, such as drugs, alcohol and prescription drugs, while others may use more healthy methods like physical exercise, meditation, chanting, prayer and yoga,  to help us along the way.

Spiritual enlightenment is a state of complete oneness, where there is no awareness of "I". The mind merges into the oneness, so there is no thought and  no concrete physical or emotional sensations on a conscious level. We only know about the profound sense of peace and love when we return to consciousness and remember what happened.

I have had moments in my life when I have been in a state of blissful spiritual enlightenment. These
moments have acted as catalysts to inspire me to continue my journey, healing my heart which has felt alone much of my life. When I thought about this recently, an image came to me of myself as a little girl, about 2 years old, sitting on a couch, sucking my fingers, holding a soft, furry, white toy cat on my lap. Even as I write this, tears come to my eyes, remembering how lonely I felt.

The positive side of loneliness is that it is so painful that we cannot help but search for ways to dull the pain. The path to spiritual enlightenment can become the medicine that heals the wounds of this intolerable loneliness.

There are many paths to the state of spiritual enlightenment. I will write here about the ones I know best, which are meditation, chanting, channeling. energetic healing and afterlife journeying.

If you would like to have a direct, personal experience and learn more about these methods, please come to the Akashic Evolution Retreat in Tavira, Portugal April30-May 3, 2015. For more information and to register, go to www.akashaentertainment.com.

Spiritual enlightenment is our inherent right as human beings. It is the gift we have been given to reward us for all the inner work we have done, as we face our fears and heal our karmic wounds. Along the path we develop courage, strength, humility, determination, faith and hope, encouraging us to go further and further into the depths of our own hearts to discover the truth:We are not alone.
